In a few days Clay Paky will attend the PLASA exhibition in London. We are proud to be the Gold Sponsor of this event, an important opportunity to inspire the world’s most creative designers to produce their dramatic lighting environments using our innovative lighting technology.

Our stand will be a large cinema-type arena, with a huge 18 meter long projection screen, that will allow visitors to experience an immersive multimedia presentation and, every hour, a live demonstration of our newest luminaires.

NEW PRODUCTS 2014-2015
PLASA has always provided us a fantastic platform for the launch of new products that soon became a global success. This year will be no exception and will see us showcase THE PROJECTORS – our brightest and highly advanced fixtures yet:

SUPERSHARPY, an ACL beam type moving head, which features a 470 watt, 7,800 K lamp. If you are amazed at how bright the Sharpy is, then the SUPERSHARPY will leave you stunned.

MYTHOS, a state-of-the-art hybrid luminaire, featuring a 470 watt-lamp. Mythos’s optical system, with its a 1/12 ratio zoom range, is extraordinary: the beam is sharp from the first millimeters out of the lens and along its entire length. But the zoom can switch to an aperture of just 0.5°, to produce a dense, 170 mm-diameter parallel long-throw beam. The wash effect is amazing.

Last but not least is STORMY which applies the latest LED technology while retaining the charm of a classic strobe. A strip of powerful LED, enhanced by a parabolic reflector, emulate a Xenon linear lamp. It’s available in white and RGBW versions.

TONY GOTTELIER AWARD
The Award Organisers, in agreement with the nominees for the award, have decided to cancel the voting process and award this year’s trophy posthumously to the founder of Clay Paky, Pasquale “Paky” Quadri.  The entire Clay Paky team is sincerely touched by the generosity of Paky’s fellow nominees. Thank you Richard Belliveau (Barco-High End Systems) ! Thank you David Cunningham (ETC) ! Thank you Christian Heil (L-Acoustics) !
The Tony Gottelier Award will be announced at the PLASA Show’s awards presentation on Tuesday 7 October.

KNIGHT OF ILLUMINATION
The 7th KOI awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 5th, at the beautiful Troxy, an historical and completely restored venue in London (www.troxy.co.uk).
KOI is now a consolidated annual event for the British Stage Lighting Community. Organised by Clay Paky and Ambersphere Solutions, in association with the two British Lighting Designer associations (ALD and STLD), the Knight of Illumination Awards will host 400 attendees, including LDs, industry media, representatives of nearly all lighting manufactures. Attendance is by invitation only. (www.knight-of-illumination.com).

TIME TO PREPARE A BRIGHTER FUTURE
On September 6th 2014 Pasquale “Paky” Quadri passed away. Clay Paky has travelled a long and inspiring road since the young entrepreneur Paky founded the company in 1976. In just under 40 years his industry recognised and respected contribution to top quality lighting innovation has been immense. One of Paky’s final acts in the interest of his beloved company was to sign an agreement to transfer ownership of Clay Paky to OSRAM, one of the most important manufacturers of lighting sources in the world. This he did with the objective of guaranteeing further expansion for the company. Clay Paky and Osram are therefore prepared  to face the future jointly with great enthusiasm and determination.
