The Fortress of Dreckburg at the gates of Salzkotten (Germany) recently celebrated its 650th birthday with a classical music evening, a gala night and a pleasant programme of side events. The fortified tower built in 1358 was illuminated for the occasion along with adjacent buildings, and equipment provided by various specialist companies in the sector, including Clay Paky, saw to creating a really exclusive atmosphere.

The Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie orchestra performed an opening concert on a central 14×12-metre open-air stage erected using Eurotruss trusses. Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300s and Alpha Spot HPE 300s were found among the lighting equipment. Two Safex Twin Fog Generators saw to a continuous fog effect on stage, while two 24 2.3 kVA MA Digital Dimmer-Racks and a MAJOR 63A – 8 HAN current distributor guaranteed the necessary electrical power supply in the Dimmer City under the stage.

The organizers also used 8 CP Color 150-Es to illuminate an old barn, which hosted an exhibition that recounted the history of the fortress.

Sound Fashion GbR saw to project installation and assistance, Sound Linear Elektroakustik GmbH dealt with the sound, and Protonic Event Partner GmbH built the stage.
