Singapore – On 26th January 2016, Acoustic & Lighting System (A&L) Singapore organized a Clay Paky Appreciation Night as a gesture of appreciation to their clients who had been supporting A&L throughout the years of services. The event, held at the prestigious Carlton City Hotel, located strategically at the heart of a commercialized area between Marina Bay and Tanjong Pagar. Graffiti Sky Bar was chosen as the venue for the event. Located on the 29th floor of the hotel, the bar emits a cozy environment that was a perfect fit for the event. “We wanted a place that has a cozy feeling, something not too formal where people can mingle together and enjoy the lighting fixtures and have some fun” commented one of A&L’s staff. “We were worried that the rain would continue throughout the night. Fortunately, the weather was on our side as the rain stopped just moments before the event begun. It brought the temperature down for us.” commented Rain, A&L’s Event Planner and Coordinator.
Aside from the in-house lighting of Graffiti Sky Bar, 4 Clay Paky ALEDA B-Eye k20 illuminated the venue surrounding. One of the spotlights that caught the attendees was the Scenius Spot, positioned at the center of the event. The Scenius spot has a 1400W OSRAM Lamp, rotating prism, frost filters and the ability to run at either 1400W or 1200W attracted the audience with its powerful beam. If that wasn’t interesting enough, A&L together with Clay Paky representative displayed the Spheriscan, one of Clay Paky’s latest family members in their range of lighting fixtures. The Spheriscan, a revolutionary scanner with a modern twist, features a 13°-34° high speed zoom, 1 rotating gobo wheel with 6 gobos, 1 fixed gobo wheel with 8 gobos, a rotating prism and many more.
With attendees coming from rental, broadcast and lighting designers, the event came to an end as attendees left with a smile on their face. “It was a great event for us and our clients. This casual setting allowed our customers to indulge themselves with some food and drinks, while getting to know more on the Scenius and Spheriscan.
