Indonesia – Acoustic & Lighting System (A&L) successfully held their third Clay Paky open-house event on 28th January 2016. We’ve seen it in Singapore and Malaysia, it is finally here in Indonesia. Organized to introduce Clay Paky’s The Projectors series: the Scenius, Mythos, Supersharpy and Stormy for the Indonesian market. The open-house event was held in conjunction with Clay Paky at Thamrin Nine Ballroom, UOB Plaza located at the heart of Thamrin, Jakarta.

A&L’s Indonesia branch person in charge, Edwin believes it was a great decision to host the event. “When our main office announced that Indonesia was the next in line to host the open-house, I felt that it was a great decision. Our clients and the AV industry needs more exposure on Clay Paky lighting fixtures, so they can understand better in terms of its quality and reliability.” he commented.

The event which lasted from 10.00AM to 6.00PM in the evening saw a total of more than 80 invited attendees coming from various industries. The open-house began with a lighting display coordinated by Giulia Sabeva, Clay Paky Sales Support Engineer before being accompanied by a promotional video. The first lighting fixture that was showcased was none other than the versatile Mythos. With a total of 18 fixed and 6 rotating gobos, the Mythos has the capabilities in adapting to various situations. The next fixture caught the audience by surprise – Stormy, a strobe light showed the audience how strong and punchy it can be. Audience were able to witness the light capabilities as it turns on and off instantaneously without any distortion. Last but not least, the latest edition to The Projectors series; Scenius soothes the atmosphere as Giulia showed the audience one of its features, the frost filter. The audience were able to witness how fluid transitions between different colours of lights. Its advanced optical unit and new 1400 W OSRAM discharge lamp produced a much higher light output than previous generation 1500 W lamps.

In addition to the range of Clay Paky lighting fixture, A&L also prepared booths for brands such as d3; world’s first integrated video production suite that helps you through all stages of your production. It helps to build your design in the 3D stage simulator, adding venues, props, LED video screens, projectors, cameras and even lighting using various d3 softwares. Kupo a brand famous for their accessories and clamps was also presented at the booth. Additionally, Antari smog machines, ETC lighting fixtures and Chamsys consoles were among the brands that was showcased.

Thanks to the lighting crew, stage crew and support from the Clay Paky staff, the audience were able to witness the power of Clay Paky’s The Projectors series. Giulia Sabeva, showed a spectacular lighting display that night with the grandMA lighting console. In between presentation sessions, Giulia took the opportunity to showcased Clay Paky’s B-eyes to the audience and shared her experience with them.  In addition, Alfonso Zarate Takano, Clay Paky Asia-Pacific Area Sales Manager commented on how excited he was. “It is a great turn up. It is always amazing to witness attendees looking for more information on our lighting fixtures. We love having these private events as it is more personal and engaging. We plan to have more of these events along with local exhibition and other public functions.  Private functions such as this are important as we have attendees who are really interested with the lighting fixtures. Unlike in exhibition where the audience are more general who do not have the time to find out more as there would be other booths to visit,” commented Alfonso.

Towards the end of the event, Eugene Yeo, General Manager for A&L’s overseas operations provided his opinion on the event “This time around this event is to showcase some really great quality products to our Indonesia market. Overall, we have attendees from broadcast to rentals who were interested in our product and had a good feedback on Scenius. We plan to have more similar events in the coming years”.
