Clay Paky has joined its Chinese partner, ACE, in organizing a successful Open Day for over 100 lighting and sound professionals at the Shanghai World Expo.
ACE, who has provided equipment and expertise for all the events and ceremonies surrounding the World Expo, invited prominent lighting designers from China’s TV and events markets. Attendees at the ACE open house were treated to backstage access at the Expo and presented with Clay Paky’s latest line of luminaires.
The aim was to familiarize the designers with Clay Paky’s Alpha 700 and 1500 series and emphasize the high level of support offered to the Chinese market place.
Clay Paky has already established itself as a firm favorite in the region. At the opening ceremony that launched the Expo in April, Clay Paky was the only non-Chinese brand of lighting represented, with well over 350 Alpha 1500s put to spectacular use by lighting designer Sha Xiaolan.
Alberico D’Amato, Sales Manager at Clay Paky, paid tribute to ACE’s director, Bingo Tso: “We couldn’t have asked for a stronger partner in China. We are extremely proud of our 15-year long relationship with ACE. They are the clear leaders in the region and widely respected for their skill and professionalism. We feel confident that the success our products are currently enjoying here will continue for many years to come.”
Also present at the open day were representatives from Strand, MA Lighting and Wireless Solutions.
