Clay Paky fixtures recently adorned the prestigious Filmfare Awards 2010, considered the premier barometer of performance of Bollywood artists and technicians. Originally instituted in 1954, the Filmfare Awards are presented annually by the Times Group to honour the technical, artistic and other aspects of Hindi cinema and filmmaking. The show has blossomed into the star-filled and glittering show of today with thirty-one categories for awards.
Hosted by Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, the 55th Annual Filmfare Awards honouring movies released between 2009-10 were presented at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, India. In addition to thousands in a live audience, another several thousand viewers watched on SONY TV, the broadcaster of the event. The ceremony was considered the biggest and best to date, complete with an astonishing array of Clay Paky fixtures supplied by Stage Gear Company of Mumbai, India.
Lighting Designer Atul Sonpal from Clay Paky distributor Jagmag Electric Company designed the stunning setup for the show using 24 Alpha Beam 700 and 20 Alpha Wash 1200 fixtures. The stage was configured with the fixtures grouped directly over the stage commanding many powerful looks for performances from movie legends including Katrina Kaif.
