The Italian lighting manufacturer Claypaky has officially appointed Decomac as its new distributor in Brazil. The news was announced at ISE in Barcelona by Mauricio Brando, Area Manager for Latin America. The decision follows several months of strategic planning and signals what the company describes as a “new chapter” for Claypaky in the country. Rather than being a conventional distribution agreement, the partnership is designed as a broader collaboration aimed at reinforcing the brand’s local presence, strengthening technical support, and fostering closer relationships with lighting designers, rental companies, and entertainment professionals throughout Brazil.
According to Alberico D’Amato, Sales Director of Claypaky, “This agreement represents an important step in strengthening our commercial strategy in Brazil. Decomac combines strong technical competence with a deep understanding of the local industry, and we believe this synergy will enhance the quality of service and responsiveness our customers expect from Claypaky.”
Mauricio Brando, Claypaky Area Manager for Latin America, emphasized the scale and potential of the market: “Brazil is an extremely large country with a fast-growing entertainment market and significant untapped opportunities. Thanks to Decomac’s nationwide structure, we are determined to support the expansion of the market and increase awareness of Claypaky’s portfolio across the entire territory, bringing our innovation closer to professionals in every region.”
Guillermo Distefano, CEO of DECOMAC, commented: “we are pleased to strengthen Claypaky’s presence in the Brazilian market together with Decomac. The early response from the market is very encouraging and reinforces Claypaky’s reputation as a pioneer and trusted partner for lighting professionals worldwide.”
The announcement comes in a symbolic year for Claypaky, as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary in the professional and entertainment lighting industry, reinforcing its long-standing legacy while looking ahead to the future of live entertainment in Brazil.
