Claypaky, in collaboration with Hermes Music Profesional, its official exclusive distributor in Mexico, held a spectacular Shield Family Open Day in a unique setting at the Bombay restaurant on the shores of the Nichupté Lagoon in Riviera Maya, Cancun.

Claypaky’s Shield Family of IP66 fixtures is designed to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in all weather conditions, from the roughest storms to the tiniest speck of dust.  These exciting fixtures meet the needs for outdoor installations and for rental companies serving both indoor and outdoor productions.  No need to worry about water, humidity, dust or even salt.

The Open Day event brought together lighting designers, technicians, programmers and rental company owners in an exclusive meet-and-greet atmosphere.  Claypaky’s latest innovations with IP66 protection were showcased, especially its robust and versatile Aqua line, in a realistic environment of humid weather and high temperatures.

During the event, attendees were able to experience firsthand the power and creativity of Claypaky Xtylos Aqua, Ultimo Hybrid, Arolla Aqua, Skylos, Tambora Flash, Tambora Rays, Tambora Stormy and Volero Cube.

One of the highlights was the demonstration of the Ultimo Hybrid and Arolla Aqua, whose projections on an adjacent wall highlighted such advanced effects as gobos and the cutter system.

The Skylos also impressed with its power in aerial shots, projecting onto a hotel nearly 5 km away and capturing the attention of visitors to the area.

The Tambora family, with IP protection and pixel effects, received excellent reviews for its versatility and relevance to current lighting design trends.

This Open Day not only showcased Claypaky’s latest technological innovation but also strengthened relationships with key clients and creatives in a professional, modern and inspiring environment.

The show was programmed and operated by Alessandro Melegaro, while Mauricio Brando, Claypaky’s Regional Sales Manager for Latin America, led the technical presentation, answered questions and interacted with guests.

Representing Hermes Music Professional were EdGar Garcia, Director of the Professional Department in charge of marketing the brand in Mexico, with Hugo Alanis and Jorge Rodriguez part of the sales team reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the professional lighting community in Mexico.
