Doha-based Creative Communication Group (known in the market as “CCG”) has recently purchased a large stock of the Clay Paky Alpha line to use at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, giving them the largest Clay Paky stock in the Middle East.
Adding to over 300 Clay Paky Alpha Series already in stock, CCG has recently purchased 24 Alpha Beam 1500, 24 Alpha Spot HPE 1200, 24 Alpha Wash 1200 and 6 Alpha Profile 1200.
In early 2009, CCG was chosen by Clay Paky Italy to be the official agent and presenter of the brand in Qatar. CCG is a thriving full-service event management and production venture based in Qatar under the direction of Managing Partner Jalal Dudin. In short, CCG is a major player in Qatar and the Middle East for live pro light and sound rental requirements.
“Choosing Creative Communication Group to represent Clay Paky in Qatar is an outcome of a long-term business relationship and we are so pleased to represent a world level reference brand in the industry” says Jalal Dudin.
He adds, “During 2009 we have used our Clay Paky units in almost all of our events, among which include the Vodafone IPO launch and the Qatar Gas2 LNG launch. Most recently we have supplied our entire Clay Paky inventory at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar.”
The Doha Tribeca Film Festival kicked off on the 29th of October and lasted for 4 days. The festival activities were distributed across several venues, with the Qatar Museum of Islamic Art as the main ground for the opening and closing nights.
A gigantic outdoor stage of 30 metres width, 32 metres depth and 18 metres height was used to accommodate the huge open-air screenings, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and the closing night. “The stage lighting was powered by our Clay Paky units and was designed by Lighting Designer Adam Bassett, whom we had the pleasure to work with,” says Jalal Dudin, “Hundreds of Clay Paky units were installed not only for the stage but also at the Red Carpet, the Souq Waqif outdoor screening and the Doha City Centre Mall. We were all very pleased with the results.”
