As we wave goodbye to the summer and say hello to those cold and rainy nights – we can rest safe in the knowledge that our Saturday nights are sorted – ‘Tonight’s the Night’ is back!
John Barrowman presents the BBC1 prime time show which sees John and numerous artists and special guests making people’s dreams come true with once-in-a-lifetime-performances.
The show is back for its second series and Richard Martin Lighting hotly anticipated which fixtures Lighting Designer Roger Williams would opt for this time. Tom Sutherland programmed the show.
This season the lighting rig incorporated a heavy variety of the Clay Paky range – Alpha Spot HPE 575, Alpha Beam 700 and Alpha Wash 300 to name but a few. When recently asked about his choice of equipment Roger told me; ‘It’s the first time I have used the 700 beams which were astonishingly bright and so versatile. I used just the 700 beams for quite a few numbers throughout the series, they really made the show’.
The heartwarming and feel good show is reflected in bold looks and tropical cabaret themes certain to brighten up any viewer’s living room. RML look forward to continuing work with Roger to see what he does next!
