The 23rd edition of C2C Festival ended on November 2, once again confirming the event’s steady growth and its ability to attract an increasingly international audience. With 42,000 attendees- 40% of them traveling from abroad – the former Club to Club has firmly established itself as a key reference point for the global avant-pop scene.

This year, C2C transformed the city of Turin through a network of venues, all connected by a shared dreamlike and forward-looking atmosphere. Six locations hosted the festival’s program: Lingotto Fiere, OGR Torino, Teatro Regio, Combo, Le Roi, and Fonderie Limone. On October 31 and November 1, the festival’s headline artists took over the Lingotto Main Stage, delivering two high-energy nights that fully showcased the scale and impact of the production.

We discussed the show with Giorgio “Josh” Geromin, Main Stage Supervisor at C2C, who guided us through the lighting concept designed by Ed Warren. With extensive international experience in touring, large-scale events, and festivals, Warren developed a lighting plot centered around three Claypaky fixtures, carefully chosen for both performance and visual impact.

A total of 44 Claypaky Tambora Flash units were deployed on stage, operating as both wash and strobe elements. The same fixtures were also mounted on vertical and horizontal trusses, contributing to the overall illumination of the venue and reinforcing visual continuity between stage and architecture. Complementing them were Claypaky HY B-EYE K25 wash lights, installed on horizontal structures and integrated into the stage design to provide powerful, flexible wash effects.

Defining the perimeter of the venue, two trusses were dedicated to one of the most distinctive elements of the design: 40 Volero Wave fixtures, arranged in two rows of 20. These motorized LED bars feature eight independent 40W RGBW modules, each capable of 220° of tilt. The result is a dynamic wave effect—an intense, flowing movement of light that adds depth and motion to the space.

Each of Volero Wave’s eight cells moves on its own axis, maintaining consistent luminous output throughout the tilt range. This technology enables the creation of unprecedented three-dimensional and volumetric light effects, bringing a fresh and highly recognizable signature to the overall lighting design.

At C2C, the Volero Wave units were mounted on motorized trusses, further enhancing the wave motion and amplifying the visual impact of the effect. The interaction between fixture movement and truss automation resulted in a layered, immersive lighting experience.

For the 2025 edition of the festival, C2C production partnered with Losito srl as technical partner and rental company, with Claypaky providing support for the supply of lighting fixtures.
